How to get your License...

In order to obtain your Hawaii Wedding License, you will need to apply online and pay the application fee of $65. Please complete  all of the requested information. You will be given a Locator Number which you must have because I will need that in order to access your license. To apply for the marriage license, please click here: http://health.hawaii.gov/vitalrecords/marriage-licenses/

You must then meet with an authorized agent to have your license issued. You can do this at the Hawaii Department of Health located at 1250 Punchbowl Street, Honolulu. Both Partners must be present to obtain the license. Be sure to bring your locator number as well as photo identification. Inform the agent that I will be performing your ceremony as your MARRIAGE PERFORMER/OFFICIANT, and they will list that in their system. You can also retrieve your marriage license from the authorized Satellite Marriage License Office at Sheriton Waikiki, Kalakua Ave, Honolulu. The license is good for 30 days after issuance.

Now it's time to get married!!! Once I perform your ceremony, I will sign your license and immediately transmit it to the Department of Health. The Department of Health will mail you a permanent certified copy in approximately 3-4 weeks. You can pay extra to have the process expedited.

Your Wedding Ceremony...

Planning you wedding is a beautiful time in your life. Ceremonies and rituals are a very important part of society and in our culture and we all deserve to celebrate them accordingly. If you are choosing to have a ceremony that is not based upon religious beliefs or traditions, than the Humanist process is right for you. You could have a judge perform your ceremony, but we as Celebrants focus on the levels of love and commitment on a deeper level than the Justice of the Peace. I do not conduct weddings in a church or in any religious institution, but rather in the natural setting of Oahu or another indoor location of your choice. I will travel to any part of Ohau for this service.

In understanding your ceremonial needs, I will include vows that will reflect on your idea's and values. With that, I feel it is necessary for us to meet at least twice prior to the ceremony. I will make this very easy with sample scripts and ideas, but fully encourage your input and including vows of our own that could truly define your love and commitment to one another. If you would prefer for me to do all of the speaking then that is perfectly ok. I will do my very best to relay your devotion for one another. Please understand that nothing I say will be steared to any theistic or biblical context.

Same Sex Marriage...

On December 2, 2013, Same Sex Marriage was legalized in Hawaii. I fully support the LGBT community and would be honored to be a part of your union. I approach this the same as a "traditional" marriage,  and with your needs and ideas in mind. Please know I will approach all marriages as a Humanist with no religious content being that I am only ordained by a Humanist "Church". I can however speak of spirituality and the beauty of love and devotion through all beings.

Renewing Your Vows...

Simply put, a vow renewal is a way of celebrating marriage again. Perhaps you have made it to 10, 15 or 20 years of marriage or perhaps you have been through some tough times and want to re-instate you devotion. Maybe this is your dream wedding that you are finally able to celebrate. For whatever your reason, it is a beautiful opportunity to reaffirm your commitment to each other.

Funeral Services...

Just as we celebrate life and joy, we must also celebrate the lives of those who have lived. From a Humanistic stance, we do not try to find reasons from a god or justification to why things happen. We must accept that death is a part of life in which we must also value and cherish. I will offer words of condolences and share stories of your loved one so that you may treasure you memories forever.
